Malcolm looked to him and raised an eyebrow. He wrinkled his face a bit at the soft kiss placed on his nose. “So? What costs nothing?” He smirked slightly as he watched him. He was intent on hearing if his answer was the same as his ‘thoughts’. Which weren’t exactly the cleanest around.
He ran a hand through his short hair “You know. I really do like that picture. It reminds me of when things were that simple.” He looked at his shoes then back up to Sebastian with a smile. He didn’t really smile. His smile’s usual had some sort of ulterior motive. He thought he could gain something from it or when he wanted to make people think he felt a certain way. This one wasn’t like that. This one made the corners of his eyes wrinkle with something that was real.
He quickly dimmed it down so he wouldn’t give too much away but he still had those traces of happiness. He then brought his hand to his hair to feel it. He hadn’t quite gotten used to it. He still thought there was going to be a bit of a mop when he went to touch it. He drew his hand back down and shrugged. “I always look like a bad-ass Seb. Nothing really new about it.” He smirked slightly and then was brought to a sudden face of disdain as they ventured into public with their hands intertwined.
“Shh! Not so loud.” He looked around and in his bit of panic licked his teeth in a moment of thought. He wanted to get to the simple restaurant without the slightest bit of delay. He walked very fast and he was dragging Sebastian along. He already felt his stomach churning at the thought that someone might see him. He didn’t like the idea of people knowing about his true identity. He barely liked to think about it himself. Whenever he thought about who he was he felt like throwing up and screaming all at once.
“I, L-word you too. Right. Yea.” He nodded briefly looking to Sebastian with a bit of anger on his face. He forced a smile though. The anger would go away for the most part when they got to the restaurant which was only another block away. However there was never a guarantee on if he would feel that streak of anger again though. it was bound to happen though.
Sebastian waited at the stoop and gave a big smile. “Well, I would tell you but it would ruin the surprise!” Sebastian said while giving a small wink. It was pretty good idea in his head, but he really hoped it seemed like a good idea either way. He laughed slightly know what Malcolm meant when he gave a smirk with his words. “I’m not gonna spoil it! After dinner!” He said while giving a wide smile.
When Malcolm said he liked the picture Sebastian’s face lit up. He really just loved making Malcolm happy any way possible. “I’m glad you liked it!” He said while giving a wide smile. When Malcolm smiled with him it gave him butterflies, it was a nice light hearted smile that he usually never got. Sebastian studied the way his eyes winkled when he smiled, it was very rare Malcolm smiled a genuine smile. This made Sebastian smile even brighter, he took every single winkle on his face, every single placement of his laugh lines, everything. He wanted to make sure he knew everything about Malcolm including his most happiest moments.
Sebastian watched as the other boy ran his hand through his new short hair. “I love your hair. I think it adds to your rugged look.” Sebastian said while giving a smile. “Also, I would say “Always” a bad ass.” Sebastian joked while nudging Malcolm’s shoulder with his own. He watched his feet shuffle back and fourth before looking back up at Malcolm.
When he said I love you over and over, he made sure it was quiet but he guessed it wasn’t quiet enough for Malcolm so he looked down at his feet. “I didn’t mean to say it so loud…” He looked back up at Malcolm and gave him a smile. “I won’t say it in public again. I promise.” He said while giving a reassuring smile, He knew Malcolm loved him and vise versa and he didn’t need to hear it constantly to know it was true. Before he knew it Malcolm was dragging him through the streets. This made him laugh because he knew Malcolm just wanted to get there as soon as possible. “You’re going to end up ripping off my arm!” Sebastian laughed out while trying to keep up without his arm being tugged off. Sebastian was running out of breath fast, Malcolm was more of a runner then Sebastian was. Sebastian could have sworn at one point or another their feet were off the ground for a little while. He laughed again as he almost tripped over his own foot.
When Malcolm stopped running Sebastian leaned his hands on his knees and began to breath lightly. “Damn…That was a lot of running!” He said while giving a smile. Sebastian looked up and smiled, the restaurant was small, which made Sebastian feel more connected to whatever they were going to talk about if the restaurant was smaller and more together. He smiled and opened the door for Malcolm and walked in behind him. “This restaurant is absolutely beautiful.” It was small and dimly lit with candles scattered about the room and small lamps. It was almost like Christmas lights in the dark. The booths were more intimate than most because of the booth couches were bigger than most, blocking out the view from the booths behind and in front of the one the person would be sitting in. He knew Malcolm enjoyed feeling like they were the only ones there, and feeling like they couldn’t be seen so they usually had a seat in the back, away from everyone else, which Sebastian didn’t mind in the slightest.
